The Friends of Wareham Veterans Council, Inc. together with the Wareham Veterans Council wish to thank all individuals, families, companies and corporations who answered our plea for assistance in securing funds to make the dream of bringing The Moving Wall to Wareham. We are overwhelmed with the support shown to this effort.
Not only was support given in financial donations; but many local stores donated materials, food and products. During this year there were many fundraisers organized. At many of these fundraisers, we held a drawing of assorted items. All the items which were raffled off were either donated by local artists, restaurants, coffee shops, golf courses, or local business.
We wish to thank everyone who came to our events and supported the Friends of Wareham Veterans Council and the efforts to bring The Moving Wall to Wareham. Hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves. All of those who donated items to the yard sale are to be commended. They not only donated, some delivered the items to be sold at the yard sale. We want to thank everyone who came out (in the rain) to support the Bike Run.
With the aid of all who saw this event as the path to showing honor and respect to Vietnam Veterans and honoring those who did not return, The Moving Wall is able to be in Wareham on August 17-21, 2017.
